Pattern Reveal-Abbey Scarf

Scarf

Want to try a new stitch pattern with me? I am knitting this gorgeous scarf with this lovely stitch pattern that reminds me of Gothic architecture with its structural ribbed columns and its pointed arches. Come along with me and join me in making this beautiful scarf.

I will first write down the stitch pattern, then I will come and post videos that will show you how to accomplish all the rows for the stitch pattern.

What you will need to try out the stitch pattern.

Loom: I am using the new little loom from the Kit that has 32 pegs, I will only be using 30 pegs. If you have a AIO, you can use one of the rails and use 30 pegs to do the stitch pattern.

Yarn: Approx: 400 yards of worsted weight yarn or if you are just trying out the stitch, just about 50 yards.

Notions: Knitting tool

Abbreviations:

k=knit

p=purl

sts=stitches

  1. Is that yarn-over (yo) in front of the peg, behind the peg, or an e-wrap on the peg?

    Thanks,

    lmk

  2. Is row 11:

    k3, *yo, ssk, k2, rep from * to end except last rep yo, ssk, k1.

    Yes?

  3. The Slip, Slip knit in loom knitting turns into the following: over 2 pegs, peg 1 on the right, peg 2 on the left–Peg 2 Peg 1. Move Loop from peg 2 over to peg 1. Knit peg 1 (treating both loops on peg as one loop)=this is a SSK.
