Easy Dishcloths

LOOM:  Little Loom, Limited Edition, 52 pegs

YARN:  Approx  50 yards of scrubbie style yarn. Scrub-ology cotton by Yarn Bee was used in samples in Front Porch, and Al Fresco (approx. 50 yards each)

NOTIONS:  tapestry needle, row counter (optional), knitting tool.

GAUGE: Approx 10 sts x 14 rows= 2 inches.

SIZE: Approx 5-inches x 5-inches

Abbreviations:

EK=Ewrap knit stitch

P=purl stitch

St(s)=stitch(es)

Rnd(s)=Round(s)  

Rep=repeat

NOTES: Dishcloths are worked in the round to create a double sided/thicker cloth. Once knit, close both ends using the whip stitch.

Important: The yarn has very little elasticity, do not wrap too tightly, or pull on the yarn as it will cause it to break.

INSTRUCTIONS

 Al Fresco Dishcloth

Cast on 52 sts, prepare to work in the round.

Round 1: Ewrap knit to the end of round.

Rep last rnd until item measures approximately 5 inches from cast on edge.

Bind off with basic bind off method.

Using the whip stitch, close the cast on edge, and the bind off edge.

 

Front Porch Dishcloth

Cast on 52 sts, prepare to work in the round.

Round 1: ewrap knit to end of round.

Round 2: purl to end of round.

Repeat last 2 rnds until item measures approximately 5 inches from cast on edge.

Bind off with basic bind off method.

Using the whip stitch, close the cast on edge, and the bind off edge.
