LOOM: His & Hers Sock Loom, 56 pegs needed.
YARN: Approx 375 yards of fingering weight sock yarn. Sample was worked with Knit Picks Stroll in Frost color (fingering weight).
NOTIONS: Tapestry needle, row counter, stitch markers (2), 2 size US1 double-pointed needle (used for Kitchener stitch the toes close).
GAUGE: 11 sts x 15 rows = 2”.
SIZE: Shown in a women’s size 7. Note: using thicker yarn will provide a slightly larger sock. To knit the item for a smaller/larger size foot, work less/more rounds on the foot.

NOTES:
Women’s size 6.5-7.5. To make a sock for other sizes on the 56 peg, orange loom, simply adjust the number foot round to equal desired lengths.
A chart has been provided for the stitch pattern. The stitch pattern is multiple of 8 sts; 8-rnd repeat.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cuff & Leg
Cast on 56 sts, join to work in the round.
Place a stitch marker on any peg to mark the beginning of a round, this peg is now peg 1.
Rnd 1-16: *k2, p2; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 17: *k6, p2; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 18: k5, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
Rnd 19: k4, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 4 sts, p2, k2.
Rnd 20: k3, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 5 sts, p2, k3.
Rnd 21: k2, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 6 sts, p2, k4.
Rnd 22: k1, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 7 sts, p2, k5.
Rnd 23: p to end of rnd.
Rnd 24: k5, *p2, k6; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
Repeat Rnds 17-24 until Leg measures approximately 8 inches from cast on edge. End on a Round 24.
Heel (Video of heel and toe process).
Place a stitch marker on peg 3 and peg 30, short-row heel takes place over these 28 pegs. Take yarn from last peg directly to peg 3, and start the short-row heel at peg 3. (see step by step instructions below).
After heel, place stitch marker back on peg 1, remove the stich marker from peg 30.
Foot

Toe
Create the toe in the exact manner as used for the heel. Refer to Short-row heel/toe instructions at the end of pattern for specific details.
FINISHING
Keeping all stitches from twisting, place the first 28 stitches onto a double-pointed needle. Place the remaining 28 stitches onto the second double-pointed needle.
Seam the stitches using the Kitchener Stitch. Weave in all ends. Block lightly.
