I am very excited about my last slouchy hat. I wanted to incorporate the last stitch I presented to you a week ago, the Crown Stitch, but I wanted it to be in a colorful way. I was envisioning something where the garter stitch rows were all in one color and then the “crown” rows in a different color. It took me awhile to find a yarn that had the right “length” of color sequence as well as a playful disposition in the colors. After browsing for awhile at different yarns, I found what I needed right in my stash, Knit Picks Chroma in Lollipop.
To create this hat, you will need to review the Crown Stitch videos. It uses the stitch through the hat, so be sure to take a look at it and practice it a bit before you embark on this hat.
Knitting Loom: All-n-one-Loom, set up to 70 stitches, then increased to 80 stitches.
