The ‘Adjustable’ Multi-Knit Loom is the perfect loom for any loom knitter as you are able to assemble it in different configurations to create different size tubes or flat panels for socks and any other small project. If you are in the hunt for buying 1 loom, we highly recommend this one. Today, we will focus on the smallest configurations, in small 3/8″ gauge, set up with 18, 24, 30, 36, 42 and 48 pegs.
The information below is general information based upon the specific loom set-up and gauge received with the combination of yarn and loom. We recommend viewing the Craft Yarn Council Standards for more precise information on foot circumference and sizing.
YARN: In small gauge, 3/8″, the ‘Adjustable’ Multi-Knit Loom works best with worsted weight yarn (number 4 weight), or light worsted (number 3 weight). The samples below were completed with worsted weight yarn.

PROJECTS: The ‘Adjustable’ Multi-Knit Loom can be used for many types of projects. Below, we will show some basic sock patterns based on customer requests for instruction. However, you can also use these small configurations to create mittens, scarves, toys, headbands, wristers, etc.
Basic Single Rib Cuff Sock Pattern (sample shown in variegated sand)
The stitch pattern will work on a knitting loom with a peg multiple of 2 due to the single ribbing around the cuff. The pattern can be adapted to any peg number configuration. Pattern will be provided for the configurations: 18 ( 24, 30, 36, and 48). Sample shown was worked over 18 pegs. Shown with a gather bind off toe.
Cast on all around the knitting loom 18 (24, 30, 36, 42, 48), join to work in the round.
Round 1-8 (10, 12, 14, 16, 18): *k1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Next rnd: k to end of rnd.
Rep last rnd until item measures approx 2 (3.5, 5, 7, 7.5, 8) inches from cast-on edge.
Work a German Short-Row Heel. If new to the technique, see video of baby booties, using German Short Rows.
Next round: k to end of end.
Rep last rnd until piece measures 3 (3.5, 4.5, 6.5, 7, 7.5) inches from back of heel (or desired foot length).
For patterns worked on the 18-peg and 24-peg configuration: once foot measures the desired length, work a gather removal.
Smaller sizes: remove with gather removal method.
Larger sizes, work a German Short-Row Toe. If new to the technique, see video of baby booties, using German Short Rows.
Weave all ends in. Block if necessary.
Basic Double Rib Cuff Sock Pattern (sample shown in purple)
The stitch pattern will work on a knitting loom with a peg multiple of 4 due to the double ribbing around the cuff, change the cuff pattern to single ribbing and pattern can be adapted to any peg number configuration. Pattern will be provided for the configurations that are multiples of 4: 24, 36, and 48. Sample shown was worked over 24 pegs. Shown with a gather bind off toe.
Cast on all around the knitting loom (24, 36, 48), join to work in the round.
Round 1-10 (12, 14): *k2, p2; rep from * to end of rnd.
Next rnd: k to end of rnd.
Rep last rnd until item measures approx 3.5 (5, 8) inches from cast-on edge.
Work a German Short-Row Heel.
Next round: k to end of rnd.
Rep last rnd until piece measures 3.5 (5, 7.5) inches from back of heel.
Work a German Short-Row Toe. If new to the technique, see video of baby booties, using German Short Rows.
Weave all ends in. Block if necessary.
Double Garter Sock Pattern (sample shown in light pink)

Next rnd: p to end of rnd.**
Rep last 2 ends (from ** to **) until item measures approx 3.5 (5, 8) inches from cast-on edge.
Work a German Short-Row Heel. If new to the technique, see video of baby booties, using German Short Rows.
Next round: k to end of rnd.
Rep last rnd until piece measures 3.5 (5, 7.5) inches from back of heel for a basic stockinette pattern on the foot area. You can also continue in stitch pattern on the top stitches and stockinette stitch on the sole stitches (as sample shows).
