LOOM: ‘Adjustable’ Multi-Knit Loom, using 159 pegs.

YARN:  Approx 1220 yards of number 3 (lightweight) merino wool yarn. Lion Brand Collection Superwash Merino in Ice colorway was used in the sample

NOTIONS:  tapestry needle, row counter (optional), stitch/peg markers (optional).

GAUGE: 12 sts x 17 rows = 2”

SIZE: 25” x 50” blocked

STITCH PATTERN: WHEAT EYELETS

Multiple of 10+1 sts; 16-row repeat

Rows 1, 3, 5, and 7: *k1, yo, k2, ssk, k1, k2tog, k2, yo; rep from * to last st, k1.

Row 2 and all even rows: k to end.

Row 9, 11, 13 and 15: *k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, ssk; rep from * to last st, k1, end.

Row 16: k to end.

Repeat Rows 1-16.

PATTERN NOTE:

The stitch pattern takes place on the center 151 pegs. The first and last 4 pegs are edge stitches that are always worked in Garter Stitch. I recommend placing stitch markers starting after the edge stitches, every 10 pegs ei, peg 5, 15, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS

Set up loom with (2) rounded parts, (2) 40 peg rails, and (2) 12 peg rails.

Cast on 159 stitches, prepare to work a flat panel.

Row 1 (from right to left): k to end of row.

Row 2: p to end of row.

Repeat Rows 1-2: 4 more times.

Row 11, 13, 15, 17: k4, *k1, yo, k2, ssk, k1, k2tog, k2, yo; rep from * to last 5 sts, k5.

Row 12, 14, 16, 18: p4, k to last 4 sts, p4.

Row 19, 21, 23, 25: k4, *k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, ssk; rep from * to last 5 sts, k5, end.

Row 20, 22, 24, 26: p4, k to last 4 sts, p4.

Repeat Rows 11-26 until item measures approximately 48 inches from cast-on edge (or desired length).

Next row: p to end.

Next row: k to end.

Repeat the last 2 rows: 4 more times.

Bind off with basic bind off method. Weave all ends in.

Steam block to open up the lace stitch.
