Weave in all ends.
Add 2 decorative buttons to each side, joining the front to the back.
What an adorable child! Oh, and the tunic is beautiful too. I wish my granddaughters were this size again!
Deanna, thank you for your kind comment.
I’m ready to make the cowl part but I’m a little confused. It’s knitted flat but there are no instructions to sew it into a circle. Is it not sewn into a circle so it can be easily put on/taken off, or is that just missing from the directions?
Can I just knit it round and then attach to the body?
Thanks!
Michelle,
The little cowl/collar is worked in the round, then it is seamed/joined to the body with the mattress stitch. You could also try to pick up stitches around the opening, place them on the loom, and knit in the round with the item on the loom. You could also work it flat, then leave it open on one side for an added touch, you could position the opening to the side by one of the shoulders or even in the middle.
I wish you had larger sizes for this tunic. It is so beautiful that I know older people would love to have it as well.
It is coming 😉
The tunic looks really nice! I struggle with these instructions though because I’m not used to reading patterns. It would be amazing if a video was provided!
We have provided a video to the stitch pattern that is used in the Tunic. Due to time limitations, we rarely do an entire “project video” however whenever possible we strive to provide a video of the stitch pattern.
That is absolutely beautiful! Do you make this pattern in adult sizes?
We have a similar tunic in adult size, but it was using the Zippy looms (super bulky weight yarn).
