Baby Buttercup Skirt

Designed by Isela Phelps

My inspiration for this little skirt is clear, it is my little darling girl. Lately, I have been dreaming up little knits for her to wear.

LOOM: orange loom from Premium Round Loom Set, 80 pegs

YARN:  approx 140 yards of worsted weight mercerized merino wool. Red Heart Chic Sheep in Green Tea

NOTIONS: knitting tool, tapestry needle, crochet hook size H (to crochet the chain to use to cinch the skirt)

GAUGE: 9.5 sts x 15 rows= 2 inches in stockinette

SIZE: 6-12 months

NOTE: Stitch pattern is over 10 stitches, to make a smaller/larger size, use a knitting loom with a multiple of 10 pegs

ABBREVIATIONS

approx=approximately

k=knit stitch or u-stitch (not ewrap)

p=purl stitch

cdd=centered double decrease. Over 3 pegs. Move loops to the sides to the center peg. Example: Peg 3-Peg 2- Peg 1, move loop from peg 1 to peg 2.  Move loop from peg 3 to peg 2. When working the centered peg, treat all loops as one loop.
